Jakarta – the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Mr. Yasonna H. Laoly received the French Government’s visit through its Ambassador for Indonesia, Mr. Jean Charles Berthonnet. It is a form of French Government’s will to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Indonesia, specifically in legal matters.
France Ambassador conveys that his government is very keen on initiating Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) with Indonesian government. “We are ready to send our delegation team in finalization phase,” said Berthonnet in the Ministry’s working room at ex-Sentra Mulia building, Jakarta, Friday (17th Feb 2017).
The Minister is so thankful. Then, he will assess the MLA bill with the ministry’s team and hope the current cooperation on human rights training to 75 employees of the ministry could be sustained and enhanced further. “I hope the ongoing cooperation would be sustained and enhanced in further time’s coming,” he expressed.
Ministry of Law and Human Rights has made cooperation with the French Government by sending 75 of its employees to be trained on human rights matter. The minister wishes that the cooperation could be sustained and enhanced.
As a response, the ambassador tells that the government of France is willing to keep on the cooperation and to listen any ideas or suggestions related in order to raise the cooperation. “We widely open for any positive ideas,” Berthonnet stated.
In addition, the ambassador also informs that his people are preparing two top important working visit, there are France Foreign Minister visit on 28 February 2017 and France President visit, Mr. Francois Gerard Georges Nicolas Hollande on 29 March 2017 to Indonesia. (Zaka. Foto: Dudi, Iyun)
