Jakarta - Since sworn as the Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) in the President's Cabinet of Joko Widodo (Jokowi), today Yasonna H. Laoly gathers the entire Echelon I and II unit Heads and the Heads of Regional Office (Kakanwil) and the Heads of Division at the Ministry all over Indonesia, to explain the outline of working program for five years of his leadership. Overall of his explanations, Yasonna underlines on the nine priorities of the President Jokowi's agendas, known as the Nawacita program.
From his analysis, the Minister told that Nawacita is applicable by changing the work ethic of the entire office, especially the Regional Offices which are on the frontline of Decision execution and the public service. The minister asks to each of the employee to stand in line and take the best efforts, work hard, thus making a better productivity.
The focus point of the Minister is the Immigration role and function to protect the entire nation and to maintain security of all citizens. “In this case, the Immigration must be able to guard our national borders. Includes any infiltration of foreigners, who bring improper ideologies with Pancasila into our country,” said Yasonna H. Laoly at the meeting, in Graha Pengayoman, Jakarta (17/11/2014).
In the other session, the Minister orders that every bureaucrat level on the ministry must change and leave the slow complicated paradigm of bureaucracy behind. Yasonna explained, “Working together (Gotong royong), effective and fast communication, responsive and reliable, must be improved. Those which are demanded by President Jokowi, as the Mental Revolution. A paradigm shift of public servant by creating independent spirit, gotong-royong and servicing culture.”
